Banke District (Nepali: बाँके जिल्लाAbout this sound Listen , a part of Bheri zone, is one of the seventy-five districts of Nepal, a landlocked country of South Asia. The district, located in the Mid-Western Region with Nepalgunj as its district headquarters, covers an area of 2,337 km² and has a population (2001) of 385,840.

Geography

Banke is bordered on the west bys  and  border to the north and east. To the south liespecifically and  of . East of Nepalganj the international border follows the southern edge of the  of the Siwaliks. There is no Nepalese Outer  in this part of Banke district.
